I’m so sorry to hear of the news 😢
And I apologize for being so late in my response. I haven’t gotten out of bed until about 4 PM the past few days. This is my first day sort of up and about.
(I didn’t want you to think I was waiting to reply to you until a workday. It wasn’t that.)
Jon is a great person to reach out to.
As you know, he’s my direct boss.
He’s been honest with the whole team about how much he can do for us in the future based on the “redundancy” edict from the Town Halls.
However, he’s been desperately trying to find ways to keep us on the team through the past re-organizations. We’ve talked a lot about expanding roles to make it harder to get rid of us.
I was laid off in 2015. So I understand the roller coaster you’re going through right now.
I was brought back just a few months after the layoffs.
I was on Amy’s team pre-layoffs, and didn't meet Jon and then join his team until I was brought back in late 2015.
Lots of people are coming back in freelance capacities, so that sounds like a good avenue to pursue!
When is your official last day? (for now) (And I'm SO glad they've taken care of your severance!!!)
PLEASE use some time for self-care. I don't think I did during my severance.
